It's been a long time.....

I'm here and alive. LOL We are doing great in Jordan. My DH has been in America (wow, it sounds so weird to say that..lmao) for 5 weeks already and man, has the time flown by! I miss him SO much but I'm strong and am handling things just fine by myself.

DH said once he comes back we will move upstairs to his apartment. (We are living in hers now since his apt. is being rented and we thought it would be better to stay with her so she isn't alone.) We aren't having "problems" with her, it's just that she is old and likes things her way. The kids annoy her to no end and she doesn't understand that they are *kids* and *have to run and make noise and they fight and yell a lot. What am I supposed to do? Lock them in a room and throw away the key? lmao My SIL's (and even her sons) all say that that is how she is and just ignore her, whatever she says just let it go in one ear and out the other. So that is what I am doing now. At first I thought it was just me and I was getting upset but now I see that she is like that with everyone.

So that is what we are going to do and it will be so much easier to have my own house again and not live with anyone but DH and my kids. I am SO tired of living with ppl. lol I lived with my mother for yearsssssss. I want to be able to clean when *I want to, cook whatever food I want to and not have to hear crap about how the food I'm making isn't good enough or how having a sandwich every once in a while for dinner isn't good and doesn't have vitamins. @@ lol

So all in all things are going well but I miss DH and can't wait for him to come back so we can move upstairs! :o)

Oh, I forgot to mention. My BIL and one of my SIL's with her 3 kids came back from Spain. My SIL's DH is still in Spain and will come here in about a month. I love my BIL who is here, he keeps me company and is so funny and I love being around him. I missed him being here since we came! :o)

Sigh........

Well, Eddie left a few hours ago. I, of course cried but what really surprised me was to see Salah start to cry. He didn't see me cry since I was in the other room but all of a sudden I heard him bawling and Eddie and his brother were like "Why are you crying?" Salah was like "I'm gonna miss youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Poor kid. He usually isn't emotional when it comes to that kinda thing but I guess he is bigger now and knows daddy will be gone for awhile. :*(

So, we are doing ok right now. I am actually pretty bored, lol. I made a list of things I want Eddie to bring with him from there. They have pretty much everything here but there are a couple of things that I like that aren't here, like Goya Adobo and Sazon. lmao

Alrighty, It's time to start cooking dinner now. Here in Jordan we are 7 hours ahead of America just in case anyone was wondering why I was cooking dinner so early. :oP

We're HERE!

We made it to Jordan! We left on March 14th and had a smooth flight. The kids and I are doing great. They love having all of their cousins to play with and are always busy.
Time sure flew by. We are here just about a month now and I just got internet a few days ago. LOL Eddie is going back to America on Tuesday. He has to take care of a few things there like the house, etc. We're not sure how long he is staying yet. He might work a little bit while he is there if there *is work. I'm gonna miss him but then again he drives me crazy being home all the time. :oX
So that is my quick update for now. I will post more soon. :o)

The date is set...

Looks like we will be moving to Jordan on March 14th. Sooooooooo close! I will have internet over there so I'm sure I will keep in touch with everyone!

Over the weekend, Kareem had a fever that lasted 24 hours and started getting red dots all over his body. It started out as a few and then today they are all over him. I took him to the doc and he had a reaction to the MMR shot. He will be fine and the rash should go away within a few days. He did get the chicken pox shot and I thought it might have been from that. Thank God it wasn't since I've never had the chicken pox and I need to get a vaccine myself. I'd hate to get CP at my age. :o/

That's all for now, I have lots of packing/sorting to do. I'm excited to go but it will take some getting used to and until everything is set over there, it will be very frustrating and stressful. :::::sigh:::::

This past weekend......

Sucked!!! All 3 boys got a stomach virus. It started with Amir on Thursday. Friday around noon time, Kareem threw up for the first time and had diarrhea. Then at 5:00pm I was getting ready to go pick up my mother from work and right before we could get out the door, Salah threw up. Thank God for the carpet cleaner I have! It lasted all weekend and I've done more laundry this past weekend than I usually do in a week!
They all seem to be better now, Thank God. Amir was the worst since he also had ear infections and is on antibiotics that are causing diarrhea for him. He has been out of school since last Thursday and just went back today. He is very happy to be back to school. :o)
Even though the kids were as sick as they were my BFF Tasha came to visit me and help out. She is an amazing friend! <3

Poor Amir

It all started at 1am. He started throwing up (in our bed to say the least) about every half hour. Of course Kareem woke up every.single.time and I had a hell of a time getting him back to sleep. Then after the 3rd time of Amir throwing up, he had the runs really bad, IN HIS PANTS! We're lucky if we got 3 hours of sleep last night. ::::::::yawn::::::::: I'm assuming he has what Kareem had last week. :o( So after we take Salah to school we are heading to the doctor with Amir. I'll update later if I am still able to keep my eyes open. :o)

Kareem's Well Visit

He went today and is growing great. He is 19.4lbs. and 30 inches. Nothing too exciting happened. lol He got 3 shots, poor baby. :o(
He's a sweetheart though. I love this kid soooo much. He is the biggest Momma's Boy EVER! He wants to be near me/held by me all the time! I just can't believe how big he is getting and how fast the time goes!

TGIF!

Well, the weekend is here and I'm so excited! My BFF (well, *1* of them (;o) Weenie), Tasha is coming tonight and staying for the weekend. She lives where we used to live which is 1 1/2 hours away so she doesn't get to come too often. It should be a very fun weekend! It's pretty funny cause she says coming to my house is a vacation for her. I'm like "How is coming to a house with 3 kids, 2 of which fight most of the time a vacation for you?" LOL She says "If you knew what I went through at my house living with my mom, you'd understand why!" LOL She is a great friend, always helps me out when she is here and wants me to relax but I tell her "NO WAY! You are here to spend time with *me, not clean up dishes or try to get me to take a nap while you watch the kids!" LOL We have been friends for, gosh, 13 years about. Man, that makes me feel old!
Enjoy your weekend everyone! :o)

A Big Move Coming......

With the economy the way it is, we are barely making ends meet these days. My husbands job, (he drives a tractor trailer) one week is great and then the next week there is no work. All the money we had saved up is slowly dwindling and not "building up" the way it *should be with the way he has worked over the last few years. All we have are bills, bills and more bills. He is going to file for bankruptcy soon.

We decided about a year ago that we might move to Jordan. That is where DH is from. He has his very own house, completely furnished there. No mortgage to pay, no bills to pay like there are here other than water, heat, phone and internet, which aren't nearly as much over there as they are here. We have a ton of family there, some of which live in the same house in their OWN apartments (their house is HUGE and has 5 apartments) so it's not like they are in the way. I've been there twice and LOVED it there. It was so nice to be around family all the time and not be bored. I always cried when I had to leave there. lol

So it looks like in a month, maybe month and a half we will be leaving. We will all go together and set up whatever we have to then DH will leave and come back here for a few months to work and save up some more money for us. He wants to buy a taxi, 2 actually. One to use for work in Jordan (those taxi drivers made out GOOD in Jordan! lol) and one to lease to someone else. This way he will be making money off both taxi's. After those few months, he will join us in Jordan to stay. That will be the toughest part for me, having my husband gone. I'm not worried about me or the boys because I know we will be just fine and be happy. It's just knowing he will be gone for those few months that breaks my heart, but I have to keep in mind that he is doing it for *us, not because he wants to. We will all get through it though.

As for the boys, we will send them to a private school. There is an "American" school there where they all speak english and teach the kids arabic. A bus will pick them up and drop them off each day. I know they will love it there. Salah still remembers being there last time and is excited to go again.

DH also assured me that I will get internet there, so that is a plus! I don't know what I would do without it! lol I talk to my sister in law who lives there all the time online, it's great. He actually left this whole decision up to me. He said if I want to stay here, he will forget about it. I told him I *want to go, its the best decision for us right now. I mean, how can I not choose for *better, especially for my kids? They are the world to me and I want the BEST, EASIEST life for them. We will have so much more money and so much less worry.

Well I think that pretty much sums it up. I'm sure there is more to come soon though..... :o)

Monday, Monday.

So on Monday (2/2/09) I took Salah to the eye doctor because I noticed that he was squinting. It wasn't a real squint, more like an angry face with his head down and looking up. lol So I laughed at him and said "Why are you doing that?" His response was "Because I see better when I do it." Oyyyyy!
So we go to the doctor and he did amazingly well, even the doctor complimented on how well behaved and cooperative he was. His vision is pretty bad though, well "moderatlely nearsided" in her words. He got my bad eye gene I guess. lol So we pick out a nice pair of glasses for him. He looks soooo adorable in them! We will get them in about 2 weeks. I hate waiting!!!!!! lol
He wasn't feeling well the whole time saying his belly was hurting and he wasn't as excited to be there as he normally would have been. So we get home and I give him some kids Pepto Bismol and next thing you know, vomit all over. Not to mention I have been dealing with a 13 month old with a tummy virus for the last 5 days. Sigh. He felt better after that though. :o)

My 1st Blog!

Alrighty folks, this is it, my very 1st blog! I'm excited to have one and hope to blog at least a few times a week if not more. Stay tuned! :o)
